Day Trip to Guadalest, Altea & Fuentes del Algar

On this day trip to Guadalest, Altea, and Fuentes del Algar, we will explore key sites in the Valencian Community.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at Lonja del Pescado in Alicante. A bus will take us on a 60km journey to Guadalest. After an hour, we will arrive at this medieval village for a guided tour of its notable sites, including San José Castle, a baroque church, and Town Hall Square. Guadalest has several museums, such as the Museum of Microminiatures and the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, which you can visit during free time.

Next, we will travel for 30 minutes to Altea. Our tour will cover the narrow streets of its historical center, featuring iconic white houses, Consuelo Church, and local viewpoints. Following the tour, you will have free time to explore, visit the beach, and try local cuisine.

We will then head to Fuentes del Algar, a natural site with waterfalls and rich biodiversity, classified as a Protected Wetland Area. You will have free time here to swim in the springs. After an 11-hour trip, we will return to Alicante.

Itinerary Adjustments

Between October 2024 and March 2025, the itinerary will be adjusted for daylight. The trip will start at Fuentes de Algar, followed by Guadalest and Altea, with a rest stop in Benidorm during journeys between locations.
