On this day trip to Guadalest, Altea, and Fuentes del Algar, we will explore these gems in the Valencian Community.
Day Trip Details
We will meet at the Exhibition Room of La Lonja del Pescado (Sala d'Exposició de la Llonja del Peix) at the indicated time and board a bus for a 60 km journey to Guadalest, leaving behind the Mediterranean.
After about an hour, we will arrive at Fuentes del Algar, a natural site with waterfalls and great biodiversity, designated as a Protected Wetland Area. You will have some free time to swim in the springs.
Next, we will visit the medieval village of Guadalest for a guided tour of its emblematic spots, including the San José Castle, baroque church, and Town Hall Square. Guadalest offers several exhibitions, including the Museum of Microminiatures, Microgiant Museum, Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, and Ethnological Museum, which you can explore during your free time.
Afterward, we will return to the bus and, in half an hour, arrive in Altea. We will tour the narrow cobbled streets of the historical center, admiring its white houses, Consuelo Church, and other sights. Following the walking tour, you will have free time to explore, relax by the beach, and sample local cuisine.
After an 11-hour day trip, we will return to our starting point in Alicante.
