Douro River Rabelo Boat Trip

At your chosen time, we'll meet you at the dock on Rua da Praia, in Pinhão. We'll welcome you aboard the rabelo, a traditional Portuguese boat used in the villages along the Douro River. This boat is unique to the Douro region and dates back to the 18th century.

We'll set off eastbound on our relaxing boat trip through the waters bordering Pinhão. As we sail, you'll see the numerous bridges that cross the river, as well as the vineyards and wineries that stretch along the valley. If we're lucky, we might spot a peregrine falcon or a majestic golden eagle.

When making your booking, you can choose between a 1 or 2-hour rabelo boat trip. The longer tour includes a glass of wine and an audio guide.

Once our rabelo boat trip has concluded, we'll say our goodbyes and disembark at the meeting point.

1-hour boat trip: 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm. Between April and September, an additional time is available at 5:30 pm.2-hour boat trip: 10:30 am or 2:30 pm.
