Nighttime Snowshoe Tour at Fuentes de Invierno

Your experience will begin at the La Braña restaurant located in La Raya. After gathering our gear and headlamps, we'll set off on an extraordinary snowshoeing journey around the Fuentes de Invierno ski area.

Weather permitting, our trek will take us around the base of either Torres Peak or Ausente Peak. On this 3-mile (5-kilometer) trail, as we ascend the slopes of the Asturian mountains, the stunning night sky will reveal itself. You'll discover thickets and enchanting forests filled with birch and beech trees, all wrapped in a beautiful blanket of snow.

While we traverse the Cantabrian Mountains, we’ll have the chance to observe the stars overhead and identify remarkable constellations, including the Big and Little Dippers. Additionally, we'll delve into the fascinating science of how snow and snowflakes are created.

As our enchanting tour concludes, we’ll return to our starting point, wrapping up approximately two and a half hours later.
