Join us on the Snowshoeing Tour at Fuentes de Invierno and immerse yourself in the stunning vistas of the Cantabrian mountain range while enjoying an exhilarating winter experience in the Asturian peaks.

Snowshoeing Adventure at Fuentes de Invierno

Our journey commences at 11 am at the La Braña restaurant, situated in the picturesque Asturian village of La Raya. From this point, we will embark on a captivating snowshoeing excursion around the Fuentes de Invierno ski resort.

Initially, we will provide a safety briefing and instruction on how to navigate with snowshoes. Following this, our trek will cover approximately 2 miles (3 kilometres) along the base of either Ausentes or Torres Peak, determined by the day's weather conditions.

Throughout this enchanting journey through a winter wonderland, participants will acquire skills for traversing the serene snowy landscape. We will ascend through trails blanketed in pristine snow, making our way into the valley and glacial cirque of the mountain pass, while passing by lush vegetation and peat bogs adorned with a delicate layer of snow.

In addition to staying active, we will uncover intriguing facts about snow, including the reasons behind the typical hexagonal shape of snowflakes.

After two hours of snowshoeing amidst the beauty of the Cantabrian Mountains, we will conclude our adventure back at the starting location by 1 pm.
