On our Fuentes de Invierno Snowshoeing Tour, we will experience panoramic views of the Cantabrian mountain range and enjoy a winter adventure in the Asturian mountains.

Fuentes de Invierno Snowshoeing Tour

At 11 am, we will meet at the La Braña restaurant in the Asturian village of La Raya. From there, we will start the snowshoeing tour around the Fuentes de Invierno ski resort.

The tour will begin with a safety briefing and instructions on how to walk in snowshoes. We will then walk for almost 2 miles (3 kilometres) around the base of either Ausentes or Torres Peak, depending on the weather.

Throughout this route, we will learn how to navigate snowy terrain, ascending through pristine snow trails into the valley and glacial cirque of the mountain pass, passing vegetation and peat bogs covered in snow.

Alongside physical activity, we will learn interesting facts about snow, including the hexagonal shape of snowflakes.

After 2 hours of snowshoeing in the Cantabrian Mountains, we will conclude the activity back at the starting point at 1 pm.
