Itinerary
Meet your guide at the specified time on Almanzor street, outside the Alcazaba. This fortress, the biggest Arab citadel in Spain, began construction in the 10th century and was later updated by the Catholic Monarchs after the Reconquista.
Admire the Jayran Walls leading to the Arab complex. Inside the Alcazaba, explore its three different walled enclosures as your guide provides insights into Islamic Andalusia.
Stroll through the gardens of the first enclosure to the Muro de la Vela, which historically housed a large bell for alerting the populace to significant events in Almeria. The second enclosure features the Odalisque's viewpoint, offering views over the city and port.
The guided tour concludes with a panoramic view from the Baluarte del Saliente. After a few photos, we will return to the Plaza de la Constitución to end the tour.
