We'll meet at the indicated time at Calle Belén in Almería and set off on an hour's bus journey to the town of Tabernas.

When we arrive, we'll visit the Terrera Ventura interpretation centre to learn about an ancient civilisation that lived in the desert 3000 years ago. You'll also discover how the Tabernas Desert formed and its unique characteristics.

You'll climb the steps of the town's castle to enjoy views of the desert and the Filabres and Alhamilla mountain ranges.

During the 60s and 70s, the desert was known as the European Hollywood, where many famous old western films were shot. While enjoying the desert landscapes, we'll learn interesting facts and stories about these films.

Next, we'll go on a walking tour through the historic center of town, admiring its elegant houses and monuments like the church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.

Our next stop will be Fort Bravo, a western-style theme park also known as Texas Hollywood. We'll have 4 hours of free time to explore the park, watch cowboys on horseback, cowboy duels, and cancan dancers. Horse carts are available to tour the Mexican village, Indian camp, or American fort.

To conclude the excursion, we'll return to the bus and head back to Almería, arriving after a total of 7 hours.
