We'll meet at the indicated time at Calle Belén in Almería and set off on an hour's bus journey to the town of Tabernas.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the Terrera Ventura interpretation centre to learn about an ancient civilisation that lived in the desert 3000 years ago. You'll discover how the Tabernas Desert formed and its unique characteristics.

You'll climb the steps of the town's castle and enjoy views from its towers of the desert and the Filabres and Alhamilla mountain ranges.

Fun fact: during the 60s and 70s, the desert was known as the European Hollywood, as many famous old western films were shot there. While enjoying the landscapes, we'll learn interesting facts and stories about the films shot in the area.

Next, we'll go on a walking tour through the historic center of town, admiring elegant houses and religious monuments like the church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.

Our next stop will be Fort Bravo, a western-style theme park also known as Texas Hollywood. We'll spend 4 hours exploring the park, watching cowboys on horseback, cowboy duels, and cancan dancers. You can take a horse cart tour of the Mexican village, Indian camp, or American fort.

To conclude the excursion, we'll return to the bus and head back to Almería, arriving after a total of 7 hours.
