Tabernas & Fort Bravo Day Trip

We'll meet at the indicated time at Calle Belén in Almería and set off on an hour's bus journey to the town of Tabernas.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Terrera Ventura interpretation centre to learn about an ancient civilisation that thrived in the desert 3000 years ago and discover the characteristics of the unique Tabernas Desert.

Participants will climb the steps of the town's castle for views of the desert and the Filabres and Alhamilla mountain ranges.

During the 60s and 70s, the area was known as the European Hollywood, as numerous famous old western films were shot there. While enjoying the landscapes, we will share interesting facts about the films produced in this region.

A walking tour through the historic center of town follows, featuring elegant houses and religious sites like the church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, recognized as an Asset of Cultural Interest.

Next, we will visit Fort Bravo, a western-style theme park also referred to as Texas Hollywood. Participants will enjoy 4 hours of free time to explore the park and watch various performances. Options include a horse cart tour of the Mexican village, Indian camp, or American fort.

To conclude the excursion, we will return to the bus and head back to Almería, completing a total of 7 hours.
