Fishing in Alta Fjord

Description

On the day of the activity, at the scheduled time, we will meet at the Fiskerihavna (fishing harbour) in Alta. This tour provides an opportunity to disconnect from daily life.

Once all the equipment is organized, we will receive a short introductory and safety talk before setting out onto the calm waters of the Altafjord. Fishing on a fjord offers a more serene experience compared to the coastline, allowing for a more enjoyable fishing session.

During the fishing experience, participants will target native Norwegian species such as cod, coalfish, haddock, redfish, and Atlantic halibut. Crew members can accommodate special requests and set up specific equipment if needed. Individuals are welcome to bring their own fishing gear.

Participants will have the chance to catch their own dinner. Any fish caught can be gutted and prepared by the captain. Light snacks, as well as tea, coffee, and water, will be provided during the activity.

After approximately 4 hours, this fishing experience will conclude back at the starting point.
