Pulo di Altamura Bike Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the Pescariello train station to start this bike tour of the Pulo di Altamura.

When booking, you can choose to do the tour on a standard bike or an electric bike. The route will be about 20 kilometers long.

We'll pedal along the country roads of the Alta Murgia National Park, making our way to the Pulo di Altamura, a sinkhole that spans nearly 2 kilometers across and 90 meters deep. We'll explain how this karst sinkhole was formed and take a look at the local flora and fauna. We will also explore the prehistoric caves on the north side of the Pulo di Altamura, where remains of a pre-neanderthal man were found. Your guide will share the history of the caves.

After about three hours of riding, we'll return to the starting point and end the tour.
