Description

The Loire Valley is known for its wineries, châteaux, and landscapes. The tour begins with a pick-up from the Amboise Tourist Office at 9:30 am. The first destination is the Château de Chenonceau, distinguished by its arches over the Cher River.

Known as the "Château des Dames," the Château de Chenonceau is notable for its rich history involving prominent women such as Catherine de Medici. During the visit, guests will learn about the château's unique name change and the influential figures associated with it.

After the first visit, the tour continues back to Amboise for a light lunch at the Duhard Wine Cellars, including a tasting of three French wines paired with local cold meats and cheeses.

Post-lunch, the group will head to the Château de Chambord, recognized as one of the largest in the area. Guests will explore its interior, including the famous spiral staircase, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. The French Renaissance influence is evident throughout the castle.
