Amorgos Tour

On this tour of Amorgos, we will visit key sites, including Agios Giorgios Valsamitis Church, Agia Triada, and Hozoviotissa Monastery.

We will meet at Vigla Hotel in Tholaria at the indicated time to start the tour. We will depart Tholaria and travel by minibus to Aegiali Bay, making a first stop at the Church of Agios Giorgios Valsamitis, situated on the site of an ancient Greek oracle.

Next, we will head south, stopping at a coffee shop for a drink break. Our destination will be the village of Arkesini, home to the Church of Agia Triada, which is located on a fortress and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The following stop will be Hozoviotissa Monastery, one of Greece's oldest monasteries, located on a cliff 300 meters above sea level. Monks at the site prepare traditional offerings of raki and loukoumi.

We will then visit Chora, the capital of the island, to explore its cobblestone streets and white buildings with colorful wood accents.

Finally, we will return to the starting point, concluding this 7.5-hour tour of Amorgos.
