Amorgos Tour

On this tour of Amorgos, we will explore key locations, including Agios Giorgios Valsamitis Church, Agia Triada, and Hozoviotissa Monastery.

We will meet at Vigla Hotel in Tholaria at the scheduled time to commence the tour. The journey begins as we depart Tholaria in a minibus towards Aegiali Bay. Our first stop will be the Church of Agios Giorgios Valsamitis, situated on the site of an ancient Greek oracle.

Next, we will head south, pausing at a coffee shop for refreshment before continuing to the village of Arkesini to visit the Church of Agia Triada, notable for its fortress location and recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Our tour proceeds to the Hozoviotissa Monastery, one of Greece's oldest monasteries, perched 300 meters above sea level. The monks offer traditional raki and loukoumi inside this remarkable site.

We will also visit Chora or Hora, the island's capital, where we will walk through its cobblestone streets adorned with white buildings featuring polychrome wooden decorations.

Finally, we will return to the starting point, completing the tour approximately 7.5 hours after the initial pickup.
