Golden Temple Guided Tour

The tour begins at the entrance to the Golden Temple, also known as the Harmandir Sahib and the Darbar Sahib. An English-speaking guide will provide insights into the history of this important site, which is visited by Sikhs at least once in their lifetime. The beauty of the temple and its reflection on the surrounding water is notable.

Participants will have access to the Clock Tower and other key areas of the religious complex. Additionally, the famous Guru-Ka-Langar dining hall will be included, which serves around 100,000 pilgrims daily.

Next, the tour will proceed to the nine-storey octagonal tower, Baba Atal, located south of the Golden Temple. Constructed in 1784, this tower honors Atal Rai, son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth Guru of Sikhism.

The tour concludes at the Sikh Reference Library and the Sikh Museum, where participants will learn about the origins of Sikhism and the persecution faced by Sikhs following the partition of British India. This tour aims to provide a deep understanding of the culture, history, and religion of this region.
