Connect with your more spiritual side and discover the Golden Temple, a pilgrimage site of Sikhism that has made Amritsar a notable destination in India. This tour provides insights into Sikhism while visiting this world-renowned temple.

Golden Temple Guided Tour

The tour begins at the entrance to the Golden Temple, also known as the Harmandir Sahib and the Darbar Sahib. An English-speaking guide will explain the history of this significant site, visited by Sikhs at least once in their lifetime. The beauty and the reflection of its silhouette on the surrounding water are remarkable.

Participants will have the opportunity to enter the Clock Tower and other prominent sections of this religious complex. Additionally, access to the renowned Guru-Ka-Langar dining hall is included, which serves around 100,000 pilgrims daily.

The next stop is the nine-storey octagonal tower, Baba Atal, located south of the Golden Temple. Built in 1784, it honors Atal Rai, the son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth of the ten Sikh Gurus.

The tour concludes at the Sikh Reference Library and the Sikh Museum, where participants will learn about the origins of Sikhism and the persecution faced by Sikhs after the partition of British India. This visit provides a comprehensive understanding of the culture, history, and religion of the country.
