Golden Temple Guided Tour

The tour begins at the entrance to the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. An English-speaking guide will detail the history of this revered location, which is visited by Sikhs at least once in their lifetime. Witness the temple’s beauty and its reflection on the surrounding water.

Participants will have access to the Clock Tower and other notable areas of this religious complex. Additionally, entry to the renowned Guru-Ka-Langar dining hall will be included, which serves approximately 100,000 pilgrims daily.

Next, the tour will proceed to the nine-storey octagonal tower, Baba Atal, situated south of the Golden Temple. Erected in 1784, this tower honors Atal Rai, the son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth of the ten Gurus of Sikhism.

The tour concludes at the Sikh Reference Library and the Sikh Museum, where guests will learn about the origins of Sikhism and the persecution faced by Sikhs following the partition of British India, providing a comprehensive understanding of the culture, history, and religion of the country.
