Connect with your more spiritual side and discover the Golden Temple, a key pilgrimage site of Sikhism, making Amritsar a popular destination in India. On this tour, you will learn about Sikhism and visit this renowned temple.

Golden Temple Guided Tour

The tour begins at the entrance to the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. An English-speaking guide will explain the history of this significant site, which is visited by Sikhs at least once in their lifetime. You will see its beauty and the reflection of its silhouette on the surrounding water.

You will have access to the Clock Tower and other notable parts of this religious complex. Additionally, you can visit the famous Guru-Ka-Langar dining hall, which serves around 100,000 pilgrims daily.

Next, the tour includes a visit to the nine-storey octagonal tower, Baba Atal, located south of the Golden Temple. Built in 1784, this tower honors Atal Rai, the son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth of the ten Gurus of Sikhism.

The tour concludes at the Sikh Reference Library and the Sikh Museum, where you will learn more about the origins of Sikhism and the persecution of Sikhs after the partition of British India, providing a comprehensive overview of this culture, history, and religion.
