Description
The setting of the Keukenhof Gardens was used during the 15th century as the game reserve and herb garden for Jacqueline, Countess of Hainaut. The name translates to "the kitchen garden." Over the centuries, the garden changed hands until it became an annual event attracting millions of visitors globally. Today, Keukenhof spans 32 hectares (80 acres) with 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) of winding paths featuring numerous floral expositions, gardens, and artwork, making it a must-see during Holland's spring.
