Giethoorn Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll depart from the center of Amsterdam towards the north of Holland. After a 2-hour bus ride, we'll arrive at the picturesque town of Giethoorn, bordering the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. Upon arrival, we'll leave the bus for a boat trip through the canals of Giethoorn, the only way to access the town's center. During the crossing, you can admire typical Dutch houses and wooden bridges.

We'll learn about the history of Giethoorn, known as "The Dutch Venice" due to its absence of motor vehicles. After the boat trip, you'll have time for lunch in the town, offering a chance to explore Dutch gastronomy. After eating, we'll return to Amsterdam by bus.

Changes in the itinerary

Due to weather conditions, the boat trip may be subject to changes. Additionally, temporarily, due to road improvement works, we will stop for 30 minutes at Afsluitdijk before arriving in Giethoorn. Here, you can admire this impressive dike connecting North Holland and Friesland.
