Giethoorn Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll depart from the center of Amsterdam towards the north of Holland. After a 2-hour bus ride, we'll arrive at the picturesque town of Giethoorn, located next to the Weerribben-Wieden National Park.
Upon arrival at the outskirts of the town, we'll leave the bus for a trip by boat through the canals of Giethoorn. This mode of transport is essential for accessing the town center, allowing you to admire typical Dutch houses and wooden bridges during the journey.
We'll also learn about the history of Giethoorn, known for having no motor vehicles, earning it the nickname "The Dutch Venice." After the boat trip, you'll have time for lunch in the town, a chance to explore Dutch cuisine.
After lunch, we'll board the bus for our return to Amsterdam.
Changes in the itinerary
Due to weather conditions, the boat trip may be subject to changes. Additionally, there may be a 30-minute stop at Afsluitdijk due to road improvement works before reaching Giethoorn, where you can view this significant dike connecting North Holland and Friesland.
