The De Hoge Veluwe National Park is one of the Netherlands' greatest natural treasures. Discover its incredible plants and wildlife on this trip from Amsterdam.

Description

We'll meet at 8 am at De Ruijterkade Oost in Amsterdam and set off on a one-hour journey to one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Netherlands: the De Hoge Veluwe National Park.

Upon arrival, a guided tour will take us through this magnificent environment, located within the expansive wooded area known as the Veluwe. Expect to see incredible creatures including wild boar, deer, roe deer, mouflons, wolves, foxes, badgers, martens, and snakes. In addition to wildlife observation, participants will learn about the various plants that thrive in this spectacular ecosystem, home to hundreds of botanical species!

You'll have 2 hours of free time to refuel or to visit the Kröller-Müller Museum, one of the most significant cultural sites in the park. Your ticket grants access to the second-largest collection of Van Gogh's works in the world. For a more active experience, you also have the option to go on a bike ride through the National Park, true to Dutch traditions.

The trip concludes with a return to the starting point around 2 pm.

Museums

Within the De Hoge Veluwe National Park, there are two museums: the Kröller-Müller Museum, which houses the second-largest collection of Van Gogh's works globally, and the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, a traditional country house designed by renowned Dutch architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage.

If you prefer to explore one of these museums instead of the park tour, we will accommodate this request without additional charges; simply inform the driver on the day of the tour.

How does it work?

The tour begins with a meet-up at the specified location, followed by a smooth one-hour transfer to De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Engage in a guided exploration of the park's flora and fauna, followed by free time to visit either the restaurant or one of the museums, enabling flexibility in your itinerary. Upon completion, the return journey will take place around 2 pm.
