Explore the largest and most populated city in Alaska on this interesting tour of Anchorage and discover the lifestyle shown on Alaska: The Last Frontier.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in? Anchorage. Then, we'll board a comfortable minibus and drive through the streets of Anchorage.

We will start by visiting the most iconic spots in the city and walking down the historical 4th and 5th avenues, which formed the original settlement of Anchorage. We will discuss the history of this place and the lifestyle of its citizens during colder months.

Our next stop is Ship Creek, where we will discover the significance of fishing and learn about the five different species of salmon in these waters. Following that, we'll visit Lake Hood to see the seaplanes floating over the water and possibly watch one take off or land.

The tour proceeds to Earthquake Park, a 134-acre park where an entire neighbourhood slid into the ocean during the 1964 earthquake. We will also visit from outside a U.S. military base and discuss Alaska's strategic importance throughout history.

Next, we will enjoy the views from Point Woronzof, where on clear days, it's possible to see Denali, the highest mountain in North America. After taking in the views, we'll head to Kincaid Park to try and spot some wild moose.

Finally, we will return to the hotels after 1.5 to 2 hours together.
