Andorra Tour: History of Electricity

Discover the history and importance of the electricity industry in Andorra and visit the church of Sant Miquel d'Engolasters on this fascinating tour.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from the meeting point of your choice. We'll then set off by bus to discover the history of electricity in Andorra.

The first stop on our itinerary will be at the MW Electricity Museum, where we'll learn about the beginnings of electricity production in the country and its impact on development. Following this, we'll follow the Engolasters hydroelectric route to explore another form of electricity production, visiting the Lake Engolasters Dam to understand the usage of water as a source of energy.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy the views from the lake, located at an altitude of 1620 meters, before heading to the Romanesque Church of Sant Miquel d'Engolasters, which features the second-highest bell tower in the principality. Here, you'll have a view of the valley of Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany.

Finally, we'll return you to the meeting points, arriving between 1:50 pm and 2 pm.
