On the day of your tour, meet your guide at the arranged time in the car park of the L'Imperatore Restaurant, located on the outskirts of the Castel del Monte. From there, you'll hop on board the dedicated transport service that will take you up to the entrance of this imposing fortress.

Throughout your private tour of the Castel del Monte, or Castle of the Mountain, you'll learn about the history and origins of the citadel thanks to your English-speaking guide. Built during the mid-13th century by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II, the fortress has a unique geometrical shape: you'll soon see why it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

At the end of your guided tour of this fascinating castle, you'll make a stop to admire the magnificent panoramic views over the Alta Murgia National Park, before returning to your original meeting point.
