Terceira Whale Watching

We'll meet at the agreed time at the Angra do Heroísmo marina to begin our boat tour around the coast of Terceira island. As we sail the Atlantic ocean, we'll enjoy views of the island from the boat.

You'll have the opportunity to see whales in their natural habitat. The Azores' strategic position between Europe and America makes it a key stop for migrating whales at different times of the year. In summer, pilot whales are common, while blue whales, the largest animal on earth, are typically seen in spring and autumn.

During the tour, we'll learn about the characteristics of these protected mammals and the importance of caring for the environment and preserving the biodiversity of Terceira. If lucky, we might also see friendly dolphins that share these waters.

After 3 hours of sailing, we'll return to the starting point.
