Nuclear Observatory & Southern Tourist Route Tour

On this nuclear observatory tour, we'll see Brazil's only nuclear power plants alongside some of the most beautiful beaches in the south of Angra dos Reis.

Tour Details

At the designated time we'll meet at Cais Santa Luzia to begin this tour of Angra dos Reis's surroundings.

Our first stop will be the Angra Nuclear Power Plant, consisting of two nuclear reactors, Angra 1 and Angra 2. These are the only ones in the country, providing information about how nuclear reactors generate electricity.

Additionally, we will learn about the history of nuclear energy in Brazil and its relationship with society and the environment. Engaging videos, models, and interactive panels will be available. After the observatory visit, you will have a chance to take pictures during a coffee break.

Following this, we will tour the Southern Tourist Route in Angra dos Reis, visiting various beaches.

The first beach will be Praia do Laboratório, near the power plants, where we will take a short walk and enjoy free time in its warm waters.

Next, we will visit Praia Brava, which features both rough and tranquil waters. Participants can walk along the boardwalk and purchase food.

Lastly, after 5 to 6 hours, we will return to our initial meeting point to conclude our tour.
