Enchiladas, tamales... Explore the flavors of Guatemalan cuisine on this food tour of Antigua Guatemala.

Food Tour Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Antigua Guatemala and begin exploring the city for its authentic flavors. The first stop is in San Felipe, where you can enjoy atol, chuchito, and a typical sweet. The atol de elote is a hot drink made of ground corn, milk, cinnamon, and sugar. The chuchitos are corn dough tamales filled with meat and covered with tomato sauce, followed by a typical sweet to finish your tasting.

The second stop is at La Merced church, where you will taste Guatemalan enchiladas, which are fried tortillas topped with beetroot, ground meat, and vegetables, garnished with hard-boiled egg and parsley, accompanied by a refreshing drink.

We'll conclude in Santa Ana, where you can select between a shuco or a búfalo. The shuco is a Guatemalan hot dog including sausage, guacamole, cabbage, mayonnaise, and mustard, while "El Búfalo" is a large loaf of bread filled with beans, meat, cabbage, and a special dressing.

After 3 hours, we'll return you to your hotel in Antigua Guatemala.
