Antigua Guatemala Guided Walking Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Calle Oriente and begin exploring by foot the historic streets of this city that was the capital of Guatemala for two hundred years.

We'll tour this ancient colonial city with a guide who will share stories from Antigua Guatemala. We will start at the church of La Merced, then proceed to the Arch of Santa Catalina, along with the convent cloister and the church nave, which are among the city's landmarks.

Our next stop will be at the Parque Central, a main square and popular meeting spot. Significant buildings surrounding it include the City Hall, the Church of San José (formerly known as the Cathedral of Guatemala), the Archbishop's Palace, and the Portal del Comercio, historically crucial for shopping in Antigua Guatemala. The tour will conclude at the Tanque de la Unión, a gathering place from colonial times used as a public laundry.

At the end of our walking tour of Antigua Guatemala, we will return to the meeting point, three hours after we began.
