Antigua Guatemala Guided Walking Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Calle Oriente and begin exploring by foot the historic streets of this city that was the capital of Guatemala for two hundred years.
We'll tour this ancient colonial city with a guide who will share stories about Antigua Guatemala. We'll start at the church of La Merced and then pass by the Arch of Santa Catalina, which, along with the convent cloister and the church's nave, is a city landmark.
Our next stop will be at the Parque Central, a main square and popular meeting place. Surrounding it are significant buildings such as the City Hall, the Church of San José (formerly the Cathedral of Guatemala), the Archbishop's Palace, and the Portal del Comercio, a historical shopping area. The final stop on our tour will be at the Tanque de la Unión, a colonial public laundry gathering place.
At the end of our walking tour of Antigua Guatemala, we'll return to the meeting point after three hours.
