Antigua Guatemala Guided Walking Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Calle Oriente and begin exploring by foot the historic streets of this city that was the capital of Guatemala for two hundred years.
We'll tour this ancient colonial city accompanied by a guide who will share stories from Antigua Guatemala. The tour starts at the church of La Merced, followed by a visit to the Arch of Santa Catalina, along with the convent cloister and the church's nave, which are notable landmarks.
The next stop will be at the Parque Central, one of the city's main squares and a popular meeting place. Here, you'll see important buildings such as the City Hall, the Church of San José (formerly the Cathedral of Guatemala), the Archbishop's Palace, and the Portal del Comercio, which has historically been a vital shopping area in Antigua. The final stop on our tour will be at the Tanque de la Unión, a public laundry used in colonial times.
At the end of our walking tour of Antigua Guatemala, we will return to the meeting point after three hours.
