Description
At the scheduled time, we will convene at the assigned meeting location to embark on this museum tour in Antigua, Guatemala. This journey will provide insights into the historic significance of this city as we visit its diverse cultural venues.
Our first stop will be the Colonial Art Museum, which houses a noteworthy selection of artworks from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Here, visitors will encounter numerous paintings and sculptures, predominantly featuring religious themes and crafted in baroque style.
Next, we will make our way to MUNAG, home to invaluable artifacts representing pre-Hispanic, colonial, and republican eras. Following our exploration of its exhibitions, we’ll visit the Holy Week Museum, showcasing one of Guatemala's most significant cultural practices through architectural and decorative displays.
Upon completing our museum visits, we will proceed to a local eatery to savor a traditional Guatemalan lunch.
After enjoying our meal, we will conclude this 3.5-hour journey by returning to the original meeting spot.
