Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Antigua Guatemala and head to Panajachel, a town with deep indigenous traditions.
Arriving in Panajachel, we'll board a boat for a cruise across Lake Atitlán. The lake, recognized for its beauty, offers views of the Tolimán, Atitlán, and San Pedro volcanoes rising above the water.
The boat trip will take us to San Juan La Laguna, a town where we can observe the traditional way of life of the Tz’utujil people, one of 21 Maya ethnic groups in Guatemala. We will learn about the typical products and crafts made in the region, such as brightly colored tunics embroidered with animals and flowers.
After exploring San Juan La Laguna, we'll return to Panajachel by boat. Here, you'll have free time for dining or exploring the town at your own pace.
After a 10-hour experience, the tour will conclude back at the meeting point in Antigua Guatemala.
