Join this unique adventure as you ascend Pacaya, one of Guatemala's most active volcanoes, and get the chance to observe the crater up close. After the climb, relax at the soothing Kawilal Hot Springs.

Tour Details

The journey begins with a pickup from your hotel at the arranged time, followed by a bus ride to Pacaya National Park, which is approximately an hour and a half away.

Upon arrival in the charming town of San Vicente de Pacaya, we start our walking route towards the base of this captivating volcano. This marks the beginning of our unforgettable climb up the volcano.

As we ascend the slope, we will reach a viewpoint just 50 meters (165 feet) from Pacaya's lava-filled crater. Here, you will have some free time to enjoy a lunch break.

Once we complete our descent, we will proceed to the Kawilal hot springs. Enjoy a thermal water circuit at the Kawilal complex, which features 12 thermal pools, 25 steam baths, and three hydrotherapy baths.

This adventure lasts between 10 to 12 hours, concluding with a return to the original meeting point.
