On this tour of the island of Antigua which departs from Saint John, we will explore the history and attractions of Antigua and Barbuda's most populated island.
Antigua Island Tour
We will meet at 9 am at Heritage Quay in Saint John to begin our tour.
The first stop will be the historic sugar mills, where ancient presses were used to grind sugar cane for the production of distilled beverages like rum.
Next, we will visit Nelson's Dockyard on the south coast of Antigua, a cultural heritage site in English Harbour significant to the UK’s geopolitical interests in the West Indies.
After exploring the harbor and its museum, we will have a break at a local restaurant for lunch, with a selection of daily specials available.
Post-lunch, we will head to the Shirley Heights lookout point for panoramic views of Antigua.
The tour will conclude with our return to the meeting point at around 2:30 pm.
