How well do you know the western coast of Fuerteventura? On this trip to the Cuevas de Ajuy, we'll enjoy a magical sunset over the coastline's most famous caves, accompanied by a tapas dinner with views of the sea.
Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in the east of Fuerteventura and head towards the island's western coast. After a 45-minute drive, we will arrive at Arco del Jurado to begin a 4-kilometre (2.5-mile) hike through the Canary Islands' oldest geological space. This area features underwater lava formations created over 150 million years ago.
During the hike, we will take a break to have an energy bar, some fruit, and water before reaching the Natural Monument of the Cuevas de Ajuy, known for its black volcanic sand beaches, sea caves, and natural arches. We will admire the Cuevas de Ajuy at dusk, where the sunset casts an orange glow over the sea caves.
After the sunset, we will head to a local restaurant for a dinner with a tapas menu and a drink, while enjoying views of the sea. The total duration of the trip is 5-6 hours, concluding with a return to your hotel.
