Description
At the specified time, we will gather near the Descansadero de Marimateos Park, located on the outskirts of the town, and begin our journey towards the Odiel River. A scenic walk through the stunning Sierra de Arecena pastures will allow us to appreciate the natural splendor of this protected area. Accompanied by a local guide, we will learn about the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the region as we stroll.
Our adventure continues at the estate where the Iberian pigs roam freely. Here, we will discover their upbringing and the lifestyle of this exclusive peninsular breed, which ultimately leads to the creation of exceptional products. The tour then takes us to the ham and cold cuts factory, where we will explore various production areas. In the natural drying and curing room, we will observe the traditional methods used for preparing ham and understand the curing technique involved.
As we conclude our visit, we will indulge in an authentic tasting of cured products, featuring Jamón Ibérico de Bellota (Iberian Acorn-Fed Ham), complemented by a selection of Marqués de Aracena white and red wines. Additionally, an on-site shop will be available for those interested in acquiring more gourmet treats at the end of the tour.
