Parnaíba Delta Excursion by Boat

On this excursion to the Parnaíba Delta by boat we'll see how the landscape of this natural area changes throughout the day. You'll be amazed by its flora and fauna!

Description

At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ilha das Cánarias, in Araioses, and go to the port of Parnaíba. There, a boat will be waiting for us to sail through the Parnaíba delta.

The first stop of the tour will be to learn the piranha fishing techniques of the Parnaíba Delta. Afterward, we'll head to the mangrove area to see where the monkeys and other animals hide during the day.

We'll continue navigating through the Parnaíba Delta and its different channels, stopping at a village on the banks of the river. There we'll visit a local family's home, who'll prepare a delicious traditional lunch for us.

In the afternoon, our boat excursion will continue to the best view points of the delta, to see how the birds return to their nests at sunset.

When night falls, everything changes. As some animals retreat, others will appear. This is the perfect time to spot caimans, snakes, and other surprises along the way.

After about 10 hours of cruising and getting to know the fauna and flora of the region, we'll return to the port of Parnaíba to finish the experience. From there, we'll take you back to your hotel.
