Ilha do Mel Tour

On this Ilha do Mel (Honey Island) tour we will head to Pontal do Paraná and board a boat to enjoy the natural landscapes of this island in the Paranaguá Bay.

At 7 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Curitiba and drive to Pontal do Paraná by minibus.

After an hour and a half, we will board a boat to Mel Island. We will skirt this island in the bay of Paranaguá and disembark at the base of Morro das Conchas. From here, we will climb approximately 200 steps to reach the lighthouse built by order of Pedro II of Brazil in 1872. We will learn about its history while enjoying the views of the beaches and vegetation of Mel Island.

Afterwards, we will walk to a local restaurant for a typical lunch. Following lunch, you will have three hours of free time to swim, sunbathe, and visit island craft shops.

You can also take this time to visit the fortress of Nuestra Señora de los Placeres, an 18th-century military construction that played a key role in the island's defense.

We will then meet to return to the boat and drop you off at your hotel by 7 pm.
