Ilha do Mel Tour

On this Ilha do Mel (Honey Island) tour we'll head to Pontal do Paraná and board a boat to enjoy the landscapes of this island in the Paranaguá Bay.

At 7 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Curitiba and drive to Pontal do Paraná by minibus.

After an hour and a half we'll board a boat that will take us to Mel Island. We'll skirt the island in the bay of Paranaguá and disembark at the base of Morro das Conchas. From here, we'll climb 200 steps to reach the lighthouse built by order of Pedro II of Brazil in 1872. We'll learn about its history while enjoying the views of beaches and vegetation of Mel Island.

Afterwards, we'll walk to a local restaurant for a typical lunch. You'll then have three hours of free time to swim, sunbathe, and visit the island's craft shops. You can also visit the fortress of Nuestra Señora de los Placeres, an 18th-century military construction significant for the island's defense.

Finally, we'll return to the boat and drop you off at your hotel at 7 pm.
