Experience a journey back to the 19th century with a visit to the historic town of Lapa and the stunning Monge State Park.

Your adventure begins at 8 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Curitiba for a scenic drive southwest towards Lapa.

After approximately 90 minutes, we'll disembark and embark on a guided exploration of Lapa’s historic center. As we meander through its charming streets, you'll encounter significant landmarks such as the parish church of San Antonio and the Ney Braga memorial, the birthplace of the influential Brazilian politician who became governor of Paraná.

Discover fascinating historical narratives as we observe the various houses and mansions. Are you familiar with the 'Woodpeckers' and the 'Maragatos'? We'll delve into the dramatic events surrounding the siege of Lapa in 1894, detailing the intense conflict between these two factions.

Your visit to Lapa will include stops at the Arms Museum, the São João Theatre, and the Lacerda House, providing insight into the lifestyle of a prosperous 19th-century family from Paraná.

We will pause for a delightful lunch at a local eatery, featuring delicious offerings such as pork rinds, beans, and other regional specialties like tropeiro. It promises to be a feast for your taste buds!

After replenishing our energy, we'll hop back into the minibus and travel to Monge State Park, a haven of natural beauty where we can appreciate dense vegetation and explore caves and deep canyons. This enchanting area is also linked to a monk named João Maria, who is credited with several miracles. The mystique of this site is truly captivating!

Your day will conclude with a return to your hotel, with an estimated drop-off time between 5 pm and 5:30 pm.
