Lush vegetation and gigantic rock formations are the highlights of this tour to Vila Velha Park. We will explore this natural site and enjoy a typical German meal in the village of Colônia Witmarsum.

Vila Velha Park Tour

After picking you up at your hotel in Curitiba at 7 am, we will drive to Vila Velha State Park, located just outside Ponta Grossa. The minibus ride will take about an hour and a half.

Upon arrival, we will commence the tour of this natural area, which is a Historical and Artistic Heritage of the State of Paraná. The tour will include both minibus travel and walking excursions to explore the site in depth.

During the visit to Vila Velha Park, we will observe the sandstones, huge rock formations formed 300 million years ago. Visitors can look for various shapes in the rocks, such as a camel, a cup, or a turtle. These natural monuments have become a significant tourist attraction in Paraná.

Next, we will view the 'furnas', underground lakes surrounded by lush vegetation. Following this, we will proceed to the Golden Lagoon, which is approximately 12 meters (39 feet) deep, where different ecosystems can be seen.

After the park visit, we will head to Colônia Witmarsum, a village of German origin known for its cheese, sausages, and cookies. Here, we will enjoy a typical Germanic lunch.

The tour concludes with our return to Curitiba, finishing at 1 pm with hotel drop-off.
