Colca Canyon 2-Day Trip

Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay

After pickup from your hotel in Arequipa, the tour proceeds to Colca Valley. The journey includes a stop at the Patapampa viewpoint, located at 15,800 feet (4,830 m) above sea level. Following this, we will arrive at Chivay, situated at 11,800 feet (3,600 m). In the afternoon, visit the Calera Hot Springs for a soak. Enjoy a traditional dinner with typical dances in the evening.

Day 2: Chivay - Maca - Yanque - Arequipa

After breakfast at the hotel in Chivay, we will visit the Condor Cross to observe condors and take in views of Colca Canyon. The return journey to Chivay includes stops in Maca, noted as a Historic Monument of Peru, and Yanque. After free time for lunch in Chivay, we will return to Arequipa, concluding the tour around 5 pm.

Trip Accommodation

You can select from three accommodation types during booking:

House accommodation: stay with a family in Coporaque or Sibayo, including lunch and dinner.Hostel accommodation: private room with bathroom and hot water at Colca Inn, Posada del Colca, or similar.Three-star hotel accommodation: private room, bathroom, wifi, and heating at Casa Andina Colca, Colcallaqta, Pozo del Cielo, or similar.

Why Not Finish the Tour in Puno?

You may choose to conclude the tour in Puno instead of Arequipa. On this option, the second day will include a journey to Puno, stopping at Patapampa and Lagunilla, completing around 7 pm.

Children Under 3

This tour is complimentary for children under 3, provided they sit on their parent's or guardian's lap during bus rides.

Itinerary Changes

Itinerary times may vary until February 2025 due to maintenance on the Arequipa - Colca Canyon - Puno route. Confirmation of departure time will be provided the day before the tour starts.
