Day Trip Details
We will pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa and after a 3-hour bus ride through southern Peru, we'll reach the town of Chivay at more than 3000 meters (9800 feet) above sea level, where you'll enjoy a breakfast of bread with butter and jam, accompanied by juice, coffee, or tea.
After breakfast, we will visit the town of Yanque, then proceed to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, with an option for a small hike. At the viewpoint, you can admire the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world, and spot Andean condors.
Following the viewpoint, we'll visit other towns and viewpoints in Colca Valley, such as Wayrapunko or Antahuillque, before heading to the Chacapi hot springs for 1 hour of relaxation in natural pools.
The tour continues with lunch at a restaurant featuring typical dishes of the area, followed by our journey to Puno. Along the way, we will stop at the Patapampa viewpoint to admire the Ampato and Sabancaya volcanoes and at the Salinas Reserve and Lagunillas to see local wildlife.
The day trip ends at the historic center of Puno after a total of 17 hours.
