Colca Canyon Trek: 2 or 3 Days from Arequipa

Day 1: Arequipa – Cruz del Cóndor – Oasis de Sangalle

At 3 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and travel to Chivay for breakfast before heading to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. After enjoying the views of the Colca Canyon, we will proceed to Pampa San Miguel, where our trekking route begins. The hike includes breaks for panoramic views, waterfalls, and lunch at a family's home in San Juan de Chuccho. We will end the day at Sangalle Oasis with a swim and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Cabanaconde – Chivay – Arequipa

The second day starts at 5 am with breakfast in Cabanaconde. We will then travel toward Chivay with stops at the Antahuilque viewpoint and the village of Maca. Arriving at Yanque around 11:30 am, we will visit hot springs, have lunch in Chivay, and enjoy views at the viewpoint of the Andes. A final stop at Pampas Cañahuas to see vicuñas precedes our return to Arequipa at 5:30 pm.

3-day trek in Colca Canyon

When reserving, you can select a 3-day trek to explore more of the Colca Valley. This option includes additional visits to Cosñirhua and Malata, the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, and participation in a fishing tour on the Colca River.
