Colca Valley 2 Day Trip
Day 1: Arequipa - Colca Canyon - Chivay
Pickup from your Arequipa accommodation occurs at 2:30 am. After a three-hour journey, a breakfast stop will be made in Yanque. Following this, travel for an hour and a half to the Condor Cross, a viewpoint for condors and the Colca Canyon. Further stops include the town of Maca, known for its traditional attire and colonial-style church, and visits to pre-Inca terraces. The day concludes in Chivay, where passengers have the afternoon free to explore the town at over 9842 feet (3000 meters) elevation.
Day 2: Chivay - Apurímac River - Arequipa
After breakfast, the journey continues to the Apurímac River, approximately two and a half hours away, located at 16,400 feet (5000 meters). A walk by the river offers views of natural landscapes and wildlife. After returning to Chivay for lunch (not included), the tour features a stop at the Patapampa mountains and volcano before heading back to Arequipa, with drop-off at around 6 pm.

Accommodation for one night is included at Hotel Colca Llaqta or a similar hotel.

Pickup is available from accommodations in Arequipa city center or at the Plaza de Armas, opposite the cathedral, at 2:30 am.
Tickets
The tour excludes the tourist ticket for the Colca Canyon (approx. 23 USD) and entrance to the hot springs (approx. 6 USD).
