Get your walking boots on for a hike through the Arequipa countryside. Explore the trails surrounding the Misti Volcano, admire the Laguna de Salinas, and interact with llamas and alpacas.

Laguna de Salinas Day Trip

After picking you up from your accommodation in Arequipa between 6 and 6:30 am, we'll start our journey towards Laguna de Salinas, located on the edge of the Salinas & Aguada Blanca Natural Reserve.

On the way, we'll stop in Chiguata for a continental breakfast featuring juice, mate or coffee, cereals, and toast.

Discover the natural setting and wildlife characteristic of the Arequipa region. Look up to view the Misti Volcano, one of the region’s ten active volcanoes. During the tour, we’ll see an Andean forest with queñuales.

At Laguna de Salinas, experience its changing landscapes: if dry, it will appear white like snow; if filled with water, observe the salt that accumulates around it. Local alpacas and llamas will accompany us, and you may also spot three types of flamingos.

Explore the area around the lagoon, the Lojen volcano, and some thermal baths. After the walk, enjoy free time for lunch before returning to Arequipa.

The tour concludes at your hotel around 4:30 pm.
