On this excursion, we'll explore the sillar stone quarries of Arequipa, see impressive landscapes, and visit the town of Yura, famous for its thermal baths.

Sillar Route & Yura Thermal Baths Tour

After being picked up from your hotel in Arequipa at 8 am, we'll set off to the Sillar Route. We will travel by minibus to the Añaswayq'u Quarries, where sillar stone is excavated.

Upon reaching the quarry, we'll learn about sillar and its significance in the local history. We will also observe local masons working with the stone traditionally and admire the surrounding landscapes and historic carvings.

Next, we will visit the Culebrillas ravine to discover how erosion has shaped the rocky landscape over time.

After the Sillar Route, we will head to Yura, where we will visit its colonial-style church and stop at a viewpoint to appreciate the Andean landscapes. You will then have one hour of free time at the thermal baths of Yura to soak and rejuvenate.

At the end of the tour, we will return to your hotel in Arequipa, with drop-off scheduled for 2 pm.
