On this excursion, we'll explore the sillar stone quarries of Arequipa, see impressive landscapes, and visit the town of Yura, famous for its thermal baths.

Sillar Route & Yura Thermal Baths Tour

After being picked up from your hotel in Arequipa at 8 am, we'll set off towards the Sillar Route. Our first stop will be the Añaswayq'u Quarries, known for the excavation of sillar stone.

At the quarry, we'll learn about sillar and its historical significance in the region, observe the landscapes and historic carvings, and watch local masons working using traditional methods.

We will then visit the Culebrillas ravine to see how air and water have eroded the rocky environment over time.

After exploring the Sillar Route, the tour will continue to Yura, where we will visit the colonial-style church and stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the Andean landscapes. Participants will then have one hour of free time to relax in the thermal baths of Yura.

At the end of the tour, we will return to your hotel in Arequipa, with an expected drop-off time of 2 pm.
