Between 9 am and 10 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Arica and transfer you to the historic center. There we'll begin a walking tour through the main corners of this town.
We'll start our tour by walking along the beaches of Chinchorro and Las Machas. We'll visit St. Mark's Cathedral, built when the city belonged to Peru, and the Museo de Sitio Colón 10, where we'll see the remains of an ancient cemetery of the Chinchorros, a pre-Columbian people.
The route continues past The Arica House of Culture and the railway station that connected with La Paz. We'll conclude the city tour at the Morro de Arica, enjoying views of the city center and the Pacific coast.
After the Arica tour, we'll visit the outskirts of the city to explore the Azapa Valley and the geoglyph land art of Sombrero Hill. We'll stop at the Museum of San Miguel de Azapa to learn about the history of the Chinchorro mummies.
