Looking for something different to do in Page? In this activity, we'll enjoy an unforgettable hike around Buckskin Gulch, a spectacular canyon between Utah and Arizona.
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Page and head west.
After an hour-long drive, we'll arrive at the start of our hike around Buckskin Gulch Canyon. This gorge pass is located on the border between Utah and Arizona, known for its high concentration of sandstone and intense red colour.
This challenging walk will take between 4 and 10 hours to complete, depending on the group’s level. We'll walk a total of between 6 and 16 kilometres (3.5-10 miles). The effort will reward us with exploration among narrow sandstone walls.
During the hike, we'll enjoy views of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and admire unique petroglyphs created centuries ago by the area’s early inhabitants.
A break will be taken halfway through for a picnic-style lunch including sandwiches and energy bars, after which we will continue exploring Buckskin Gulch Canyon.
We will walk back to the start and return to Page, arriving at your hotel approximately 11 hours after initial pickup.
