Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Page and head west.
After an hour-long drive, we'll arrive at the start of our hike around Buckskin Gulch Canyon, located on the border between Utah and Arizona. This gorge, known for its high concentration of sandstone, is recognized for its intense red colour.
This challenging walk will take between 4 and 10 hours to complete, depending on the group's level. We'll walk a total of between 6 and 16 kilometres (3.5-10 miles) through narrow sandstone walls.
During the hike, we'll enjoy views of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and see some unique petroglyphs created centuries ago by the area's inhabitants.
We'll take a break halfway through the hike for a picnic-style lunch including sandwiches and energy bars before continuing to explore other areas in Buckskin Gulch Canyon.
