Are you seeking a unique experience in Page? Join us for an unforgettable adventure as we embark on a hike through Buckskin Gulch, an impressive canyon located on the border of Utah and Arizona.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your accommodation in Page and proceed westward.
After a drive of approximately one hour, we will reach the trailhead for our hike in Buckskin Gulch Canyon. This gorge, found on the Utah-Arizona border, showcases a vast canyon renowned for its vivid red sandstone formations.
This strenuous trek may last between 4 and 10 hours, depending on the group's ability. We will cover a distance of between 6 and 16 kilometers (3.5-10 miles). The effort will pay off as we traverse through a mesmerizing landscape framed by towering sandstone cliffs.
Throughout our hike, expect breathtaking views of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. We will also encounter ancient petroglyphs left by the early inhabitants of this region, who once navigated these same paths.
A mid-hike break will provide an opportunity to savor a picnic-style lunch featuring sandwiches and energy bars. Following our meal, we will continue to explore further sections of Buckskin Gulch Canyon.
At the conclusion of our adventure, we will retrace our steps to the starting point. From there, we will return you to Page, arriving back at your hotel approximately 11 hours after our initial pickup.
