If you're in Búzios and want to visit Rio de Janeiro, this excursion is a perfect opportunity to explore the attractions of this coastal destination in Brazil.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Búzios to start the excursion to Rio de Janeiro. Get ready to discover one of the most famous cities in Brazil!
Upon arrival in Rio, our first stop will be the Maracanã Stadium, which opened in 1950 and has a capacity for over 78,000 spectators, making it the largest football stadium in Brazil. We'll share numerous interesting facts about its history.
Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, notable for its conical design, measuring 106 meters (347 feet) in diameter and 75 meters (246 feet) high, accommodating up to 20,000 people. Then we will pass by the Selarón Staircase, created by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón as a tribute to the Brazilian people, offering a photo opportunity.
We will then proceed to the Christ the Redeemer statue, located on Corcovado Mountain at 709 meters (2,326 feet) above sea level. Standing at 38 meters (124 feet), it is one of the largest statues globally and a World Heritage Site since 2012.
Before continuing our tour, we will stop at a restaurant for a buffet lunch. The excursion will conclude with a scenic tour of Rio's South Zone.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in Búzios after 13 hours of activity.
