If you're in Búzios and want to visit the Wonderful City, you can't miss this excursion to Rio de Janeiro. We'll explore the key attractions of this coastal destination in Brazil.
Description
At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Búzios to start the excursion to Rio de Janeiro. Our first stop will be at the Maracanã Stadium, inaugurated in 1950, which has a capacity for over 78,000 people, making it the largest football stadium in Brazil. We will share various facts about its history.
Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, notable for its conical shape, with a diameter of 106 metres (347 feet) and a height of 75 metres (246 feet), accommodating up to 20,000 people. We will also pass by the Selarón Staircase, created by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón in tribute to the Brazilian people, providing a photo opportunity.
Our tour will continue to the iconic Christ the Redeemer, situated on Corcovado Mountain, 709 metres (2,326 feet) above sea level, and standing 38 metres (124 feet) tall. It is one of the world's largest statues and has been a World Heritage Site since 2012.
We will pause for a delicious buffet lunch at a restaurant before concluding with a scenic tour of Rio's South Zone. After approximately 13 hours of activity, we will return to your hotel in Búzios.
