Description
We'll pick you up at the indicated time at your accommodation in Armenia to start our tour through the Colombian Coffee Axis. A short drive will bring us to our first stop: the exotic Cocora Valley.
In Cocora Valley, we'll uncover the legend of the Cocora princess and stroll amidst the towering Wax Palms, some reaching up to 60 meters (196 feet) in height.
After lunch, we’ll head to Salento to explore its Antioquian architecture. The colourful houses and balconies create a picturesque scene. In Calle Real, we'll immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere and walk along the Camino del Quindío, a historic route in the coffee region. We'll also visit the Alto de la Cruz viewpoint for a scenic overview of Salento.
Next, we’ll proceed to Filandia, known as 'Colina Iluminada' or 'Illuminated Hill'. Its vibrant buildings and tranquil streets enhance its charm. We will stroll through the town, visit local stores, and arrive at the 'Street of Stopped Time', where the houses maintain their original structure. At the Central Park, a bustling square, we'll engage with locals and enjoy a view of the Templo María Inmaculada church.
After an 8.5-hour tour, we'll return to your hotel.
