Discover the authentic Antioquian style of Filandia and Salento, two towns representing the Colombian Coffee region, set against the Cocora Valley.

Description

We'll pick you up at your accommodation in Armenia to start our tour through the Colombian Coffee Axis. A short drive will bring us to the exotic Cocora Valley.

We will uncover the legend of the Cocora princess and stroll amidst the towering Wax Palms, some reaching 60 meters (196 feet) in height. After a lunch stop, we will continue to Salento to explore Antioquian architecture, the colourful houses, and the flowerpot-covered balconies. In Calle Real, we'll immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere and arrive at the Camino del Quindío, a historic route in the coffee region, as well as the Alto de la Cruz viewpoint.

Next, we’ll head to Filandia, known as 'Colina Iluminada' or 'Illuminated Hill'. This town features colourful buildings and a tranquil ambiance. We'll explore the houses and shops, and visit the Street of Stopped Time, 'la calle del Tiempo Detenido', where the houses retain their original structure!

Filandia is home to many coffee growers, and we will enjoy the vibrant Central Park, engaging with the community and taking in a panoramic view of the Templo María Inmaculada church. After an 8.5-hour tour, we will return to your hotel.
