Discover the authentic Antioquian style of Filandia and Salento, two towns that epitomize the Colombian Coffee region with their colourful facades set against the Cocora Valley.
Description
Our tour starts with pickup from your accommodation in Armenia. A short drive will bring us to Cocora Valley, where we will explore the legend of the Cocora princess and observe towering Wax Palms, some reaching 60 meters (196 feet) in height.
After lunch, we will continue to Salento to appreciate the Antioquian architecture, featuring colourful houses and flowerpot-covered balconies. In Calle Real, we will immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere and explore the historic Camino del Quindío. We will also visit the Alto de la Cruz viewpoint for a panoramic view of Salento.
Next, we will head to Filandia, known as 'Colina Iluminada'. We will stroll through its picturesque streets, visiting the Street of Stopped Time, where houses retain their original structure. This town, known for its coffee growers, features colourful avenues and a friendly community. At the Central Park, we will engage with locals and enjoy views of the Templo María Inmaculada church.
After an 8.5-hour tour, we will return to your hotel.
