Discover a traditional Colombian town in the Risaralda Department on our day trip to Marsella. You'll admire the colonial architecture and visit an agricultural farm where local products are made.

Marsella Day Trip

At 7 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Armenia and set off for Marsella, originally known as "Villa Rica de Segovia." On the way, view the vast coffee plantations of the Cauca River valley.

Upon arrival, visit an agricultural farm and enjoy a snack of patacones con hogao, made from the farm's produce. Then, explore the cacao plantations and fruit trees, with possible fruit tasting. Participate in an organic chocolate making workshop, where you will extract, roast, and grind the cocoa beans.

After the workshop, prepare a delicious cocoa drink to enjoy with your traditional lunch, featuring sancocho made from chicken and vegetables from the farm's garden.

After lunch, drive to the village and stop in the main square for a cup of Colombian coffee. Stroll around Marsella to see key sights, including the Mary Immaculate Church and the House of Culture, which houses a National Heritage museum.

Conclude your visit at the Botanical Garden and the José María Cemetery. Return to your hotel in Armenia by 4:30 pm.
