Discover a traditional Colombian town in the Risaralda Department on our day trip to Marsella. You'll admire the colonial architecture and visit an agricultural farm where local products are made.

Marsella Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Armenia and drive to Marsella, formerly known as "Villa Rica de Segovia." During the journey, view the extensive coffee plantations in the Cauca River valley.

Upon arrival in Marsella, visit an agricultural farm and enjoy a local snack of patacones con hogao, made from the farm's produce. Then, tour the cacao plantations and fruit trees, and possibly taste some ripe fruit. Participate in an organic chocolate making workshop where you'll extract, roast, and grind cocoa beans.

After cooling the chocolate liquid, prepare a cocoa drink to accompany your traditional lunch, featuring sancocho made with chicken and farm vegetables.

Post-lunch, drive to the village and enjoy a cup of Colombian coffee in the main square. Stroll around Marsella to visit key sights such as the Mary Immaculate Church and the House of Culture, home to a National Heritage museum.

Finally, explore the Botanical Garden and the José María Cemetery before returning to your hotel in Armenia, arriving at 4:30 pm.
