Set off from Armenia on an adventure to one of the most important nature reserves in this part of Colombia on our hike around the Otún Quimbaya Sanctuary. We'll go on an unforgettable hiking route around this beautiful place.

Otún Quimbaya Sanctuary Hike

We will pick you up from your hotel in Armenia at 8 am and head northbound to the Otún Quimbaya Flora and Fauna Sanctuary.

After a 1 hour 30 minute drive, we'll reach this nature reserve located in the Central Cordillera of the Colombian Andes, dedicated to conserving various species, some endangered, that thrive in its ecosystems.

Your hike will cover 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) through the Andean rainforest. This low-difficulty hike allows us to observe several bird species in their natural habitat, including moustached antpittas, multicolored tanagers, and torrent ducks, along with other endemic birds.

We will also encounter mammals such as monkeys, silver foxes, tapirs, and pacaranas, all of which are protected within the sanctuary.

During our walk, we will pause for a traditional local lunch consisting of one course and a drink. After lunch, we will resume our exploration of the area's nature.

We will return to Armenia and drop you off at your hotel at 3 pm.
