Pereira & Banana Plantation Tour

At 8 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Armenia and travel to Pereira, located 28 miles (45 kilometers) away.

After an hour's drive, we will arrive near Pereira and tour its pineapple plantations to learn about the region's fruit tradition.

Next, we will stop for a tasting of arepas de choclo, typically served with a special sauce.

We will proceed to the city centre of Pereira, visiting the César Gaviria viaduct, Simón Bolívar Square, and the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Pobreza. We will share interesting facts about Pereira, including the origin of its name.

Our final stop will be at a banana farm, where we will learn about the cultivation process of Colombian bananas, from planting to harvesting. Colombia is the fifth largest exporter of bananas in the world.

After the visit to the banana farm, we will return to Armenia, dropping you off at your hotel by 3 pm.
