Teide Volcano Cycling Adventure

Your experience begins with a scheduled pick-up from your accommodation in southern Tenerife, followed by a trip to La Camella. Here, we'll prepare for our cycling expedition to the Teide volcano. Let’s hit the road!

The initial segment of our bike ride will help us acclimatize to the challenging terrain. We will pedal approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) towards Granadilla. Following this, we will tackle a more demanding stretch as we make our way to Vilaflor, recognized as one of the highest villages in Spain.

After we pass through Vilaflor, the journey intensifies with a 14-kilometer (8.7-mile) uninterrupted climb within the Teide National Park. The hard work will be rewarded with spectacular vistas.

During our ride, you will enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the southern coastline of Tenerife, observing the dramatic changes in vegetation from the lower to the higher elevations of the island.

Our destination will be El Retamar, situated in the Santiago del Teide region at a height of 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level. We will take some time to capture memorable photos before starting our descent.

In this concluding section, we’ll cycle roughly 45 kilometers (28 miles) back to Playa de las Américas. Here, we'll return our bicycles and board a minibus to return to your hotel after an exhilarating five and a half hours of cycling.
