Tenerife Snorkelling & Sea Turtle Watching

On our Tenerife Snorkelling & Sea Turtle Watching activity, we'll explore the diverse marine ecosystem around the island and observe sea turtles.

Description

At 9 am, we'll meet at the Port of Las Galletas and board a Zodiac-type boat, which will take us to a snorkelling area. We'll pass by the Malpais de Rasca, a protected nature reserve with a scenic volcanic landscape. After receiving instructions from our expert instructor on movement in water, we'll don our snorkelling gear and enter the Atlantic Ocean.

Keep an eye out for the loggerhead and green turtles swimming in the area. These turtles can exceed 3 feet in length (1 metre). During the activity, we may also see shoals of white seabream, bogas, and other fish typical of Tenerife's seabed.

We will return to the starting point by approximately 11 am.

Sea Turtle Watching

The coast of Tenerife is a prime location for spotting sea turtles. Though there is a high probability of sightings, it's important to note that this is not guaranteed, as these are wild animals. The activity will be conducted considering the well-being of the marine environment, with small group sizes to ensure minimal impact.
