Paiva River Rafting Tour

At 10.30 am, we'll meet at Rua do Barco to start this rafting activity on the Paiva River. Welcome to the Arouca Geopark!

We will begin with a brief explanation of the rafting tour. Afterward, we will put on our life jackets and helmets, and head to the starting point of our rafting adventure in the Paiva River.

Onboard the rafts, we will start speeding down the white waters. During the tour, we will pass by the main points of geological interest in this area of northern Portugal, such as the Paiva Gorge, the Cascata das Aguieiras, and the Praia Fluvial do Vau.

We will also raft near the famous 516 Arouca bridge, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world, which towers 175 meters over the Paiva River!

Lastly, we will end this rafting activity at 2.30 pm back at the meeting point.
