At the foothill of Kilimanjaro lies Marangu, a village with a rich tradition and full of nature. On this day trip, we'll explore this breathtaking location and marvel at the scenery.

Marangu Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and start the adventure. We'll head to Kilimanjaro, where Marangu is located, and learn about the Chagga people.

The first stop will be at the Marangu Falls. Amidst lush nature, you'll hear the rushing water and see crystalline waterfalls. The water, coming from Kilimanjaro, will be refreshingly cool.

The tour continues at the Chagga museum. The Chagga are the third largest ethnic group in Tanzania and were the first to convert to Christianity. We'll learn about their way of life and visit tunnels that served as a refuge during inter-clan conflicts.

Marangu is famous for its colorful markets full of bananas. After a brief stop for lunch, we'll continue to the coffee and banana plantations. You'll discover the various uses of bananas for the Chagga people and sample mbege, a banana beer.

Once the visit is over, we'll return to Arusha, arriving back at your hotel at 4 pm.
