At the foothill of Kilimanjaro lies Marangu, a village with a rich tradition and full of nature. On this day trip, we'll explore this breathtaking location and marvel at the scenery.

Marangu Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and start this adventure. We'll head to Kilimanjaro, where we'll learn about the Chagga people in the village of Marangu.

The first stop will be at the Marangu Falls. Amidst lush nature, you'll hear the water rushing down, and crystalline waterfalls will come into view. The water from Kilimanjaro is refreshingly cool if you wish to take a dip.

The tour will continue at the Chagga museum, where we will learn about the Chagga, the third largest ethnic group in Tanzania, and their conversion to Christianity. We will also visit the tunnels that served as a refuge during the inter-clan conflicts.

Famous for its colorful markets filled with bananas, we'll explore them before making a brief stop for lunch. Afterwards, we will tour the coffee and banana plantations. You'll discover the various uses of bananas for the Chagga people and sample mbege, a banana beer.

After the visit, we'll return to Arusha, arriving back at your hotel at 4 pm.
