Northern Tanzania 8 Day Safari

Day 1: Arusha

Your journey begins as we greet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel in Arusha. Once you’ve settled in, feel free to unwind while taking in the stunning Tanzanian scenery, enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool, or relax as you prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara

Over a hearty breakfast, we’ll discuss the exciting itinerary for the upcoming days alongside your safari guides. Afterward, we’ll embark on our journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a key wildlife sanctuary near Arusha. Here, you will encounter the enchanting acacia forests and expansive grasslands that envelop this remarkable African lake.

On our exploration, look out for climbing lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and even buffalo, often found in close proximity! Throughout our time in the park, you’ll also learn about the unique bird species that inhabit this area. The day concludes as we return to the hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti

Leaving Lake Manyara behind, we’ll venture into the iconic Serengeti, on the lookout for the elusive African wildebeest. This expansive natural reserve offers a plethora of wildlife encounters—make sure your camera is ready!

After some engaging activities before lunch, we’ll delve deeper into the wonderful vistas of the Serengeti National Park plains. Expect to cross paths with zebras, rhinos, and ostriches during our afternoon exploration before returning to the hotel for dinner and a restful night.

Days 4 + 5: Serengeti

As the morning chorus of birds awakens us, we’ll indulge in a delightful African breakfast and continue our safari adventures. The focus of our fourth and fifth days will center on witnessing the migration of wildebeests. From our jeep, we’ll enjoy the spectacular sight of the vast procession of wildebeests departing the park in search of grazing grounds.

Each afternoon, following a leisurely lunch break, we’ll resume our safari, dedicating the latter part of the day to observe how wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras coexist in their shared habitat—an extraordinary experience! After our thrilling days, we’ll return to the hotel.

Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro

Awaken before dawn to begin our journey to Ngorongoro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site set within a volcanic crater. After exploring the spectacular landscapes and observing leopards and elephants, you may want to take a trip to Oldupai Gorge to view some of the oldest hominid fossils in Africa.

If desired, connect with a Maasai tribe to gain insights into their vibrant culture. After a midday lunch and some downtime, we’ll venture back into Ngorongoro Park in the afternoon before settling in for dinner at our hotel.

Day 7: Ngorongoro - Tarangire - Arusha

The final day is dedicated to discovering the wonders of Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant population. As we traverse the park in the jeep, you’ll marvel at herds of elephants roaming beneath the giant baobabs—an unforgettable sight!

As we delve into the distinctive flora, reaching heights of thirty meters (98 feet), we’ll make our way back to Arusha. Our day concludes at the hotel, where we’ll enjoy dinner together before our last night.
